Thanksgiving really a big deal in America, It is so lucky that I can go to Joel’s home in Seattle during thanksgiving.
Joel’s family is really nice. His grandpa,grandma, cousins, brother and sisters are all really nice, we all had a wonderful time in Joel’s home. His mum cooked some thanksgiving food like turkey, pumpkin soup. Ah, in thanksgiving dinner, they seem a little bit formal, but not really formal (What am I talking about……), sitting around the table, pray before the dinner.
We usually watch movies after the dinner.Every body sit on the couch around the fire, enjoying family time in the thanksgiving. And I was addicted to TVshow Hero after that…….
We ate breakfast together in the morning, watch football match at noon, and then dinner.

In one day, Joel and his mum brought me to some tourist spots in Seattle downtown. We also passed Bill gate’s house on the way there. The space needle buliding for WorldFair exhitbition in 196X, it still looks modern, maybe things around space is always modern, inventing it always the dream of human. The first starbucks cafe, it’s really popular! Many people lining up there.

I brought the coffee cups as the souvenir. The logo of first starbucks cafe is kind of wired….isn’t it?
In the day before we leave, we bowled at noon and watched a movie at night, Fred Claus. It’s really a fun film, I love watching people dance with music suddently in the movie. I always think it’s fun.
In the next morning, we went to chuch, listening the service by Joel’s father. And then we leave.
It was a 10 hours flight and I went back to dormitory at 2:00 a.m. Ah….doing something I ‘ve to do but not quite willing to do till 4:00a.m. I’m still in the holiday mood after coming back. I’m really tired about school…….I’ll reborn after 2 weeks ,Xmas holiday is waiting for me. I hope there will have something exciting!

Monday:
My groupmate told me to do 75 survey and then hand in the data to her in the next day. I spent 3 hours doing it in the library, I found a phenomeno, people love to meet each other in 7:30,8:00,8:30,9:00, these time are easy to remember, it’s the climax time! So, ask people to do a flavour for me in these time and then wait for another half an hour. This is my tactic of doing surveys. Why do I have to do survey even I do nothing related to sociology class here? I don’t know, maybe, the class called “Language and Society”, ya……I can not escape from sociology finally……But people here are really nice, no one rejected to help me, I did 76 survey and 100% success! The weather is cold! Good time for hot pot dinner!Thanks so much!!
Tuesday:
I went to do the written test for the learner permit of driver license. I can say, bureau in every countries is the same…….low efficency. The social security office works really wired, I’ve waited for long time, I told them my name twice. And it’s turn out, they typed my name wrong. I admit that I should responsible to this as I forgot to check about it. Wasting time between BMV and Social security office, I passed the written test finally, it’s pretty easy for me. Ha…….A Chinese student who is experienced in driving in China failed that.
I came back campus after doing a great job in the written test. Constructing the result of the survey, went to class, watch the football match, the first Ball State Home match broadcasting by ESPN, I dropped my Nokia N73 from the deck which is 3 floor height, it’s still fine! Only a little damaged in the monitor! I can only watch for half match and then rush for the reharsal of the event on Friday. I ‘ve no time to eat my dinner till 11:30. I’m extremely hungry!!! And we celebrated for Kelvin’s B-day at 12:00a.m, I happy cornered him and happy cornered by him……I tried to escape but still got pied by others.
Crazy day!

Thuesday:
I went to see the doctor as I’ve a flu. I know I didn’t wear enough clothes when I was watching the football match. I’d been waiting for 2 hours to see the doctor……Just like the public hospital in Hong Kong…….I went to attend the talk held by journalism department to gain the extra credits! But I forgot the look up the location, I did something silly again. I run in to the stadium, and I asked people there “Is there a talk or speech here?” “No. We are having class here.”……Go out quickly and run to the correct place.
And then, reharsal again~~~
Friday:
The event I practiced for long time is~~~~~~~Fashion show!! I demonstrated my Barcelona Soccer jersey, catwalk wearing full set of soccer gear! Ha, it’s funny being a model! This act maybe scary to my friends, ya~I did being a model~catwalking on the stage~The feeling was amazing~Everybody put their sight on me! Maybe there will have some Video in later time!
We celebrated for the success of the event by eating in steak and shake! Nice meal~Party Party~
Saturday:
I did my paper for 4 hours as it’s due on Monday(the professor assigned it for more then 2 weeks ago). Then went to play basketball for 1-2 hours, haviing dinner, take a shower, and then go out again…….I don’t really like alcohol, but I love to hang out with friends.

In order to raising some conversation about me among my friends in Hong Kong. I decided to send postcard seperately, I divided the namelist of my friend in to serval parts. In the first roll, I will send about 12 of them, and then send the second roll in one to two months later….and so on. So, maybe my friends will make kinda chat like that,”Did you recieved the postcard from Oliver?”, “Oh, I didn’t.” One month later, my friend said,”Finally, I got it, Oliver still alive!”
Ha……I know this is only what I dream, maybe I’m too idealistic (maybe it’s a MUSTBE: I ‘m always too idealistic.). But the truth is I feel tired to write 40-50 postcard at the same time!
Instead of postcard, the photos can be decoration of the boring wall in my room. I may take one those and send it as postcard to others, ha! Don’t blame me if I do that, it is something historic! They are part of my room in U.S!

It’s winter, 34-44F….1-7 degree……What the hell……I’m lazy to go out to grap my dinner, I just go downstair eating the same things everyday. I can’t imagine how can I alive in the following months, it will become colder and colder. Can I go out covering by blanket? Cycling in such a windy winter is not a good idea, I ‘ven’t ride my bicycle for a week now.
I suppose to live in subtropical zone. WHY!!!!

Other then the little story about “Career” and “Cancer” center, something silly happened again on me. I took some photos on the weekend, and I wanted to find a shop printing my photos out as postcard. I saw a big banner “Ultra Image”, I got it! Printing some ultra image out, isn’t it? I went there, there is a word below the banner, “Tanning”. I was thinking of what’s that mean outside the shop for few seconds, the sales or maybe the boss, come out and see weather I’m seeking for help. I asked,”Is there any photo printing service?” The man answere, “We are doing suntanning, we don’t print photo.” “What’s suntanning”, I wondered. The man invited me to come in and show me the suntanning machine…….”Do you want to do that?”, asked my him. “I’m already dark enough,thanks.”, I answered and went out the shop.
This kind of situation maybe embarrassing and stupid…….At least, I’ll always remeber what’s tanning mean. And……The man will never forget about such an idiot.

Something about my class here:
I really enjoy my language and society class, learning english and something about american society, ,kungfu plus soccer, english plus sociology, you know what, I got quite a good grade in my essay, I’m suriving in the english class that full of native english speaker.
Jouralism class is quite boring, all of them are something basic. Memorizing and memorizing some terms, they just use some speical terms to illustrate something we already known.Aya ya…..
Spanlish class, I like the professor so well. He’s extremely funny and not harsh! It’s really cool to learn from him. I really hope to study the spanlish class taught by him in the following months, but I knew I can’t (He’s going to teach higher level in the next semester). I’ll always remeber his “Ole Ole Cha Cha Cha~~~”
The atmosphere studying here and Hong Kong is a big difference! In here, the compete is not serious as Hong Kong. Unlike Hong Kong, even every student paid hard on exam and papers, only 2 people can get the A grade in the class. There is no quoata of getting A, everybody can get A if they satisfy the requirment of certain level. Instead of making difficulties to students, professor here always want to pushing everybody to A grade. What a good system!

#2 You may see some advertisment in the blog, just leave them alone, I’m just paving the way to make money by blog. I knew it’s a long way to do it. Traffic of my blog is still really really limited. But I don’t care, just write whatever I want as normal. God knows what happen the next……

The weather here is really cold now (Some said there will be under 0 degree tonight). The winter is coming, so I took the chance to take some photos of campus in autumn on Sunday. I wanted to do that for long time, I’m just lazy. Now, I did it. And my friends, I’ll send you guys the photo I took as postcard (My photos are much more beautiful then the postcard selling here, I bet!)

This is my first time celebrating Halloween. In the weekend before Halloween, I went to some parties. There are already many people wear their costume hanging around in the campus. it’s really amazing!
And I also brought my costume in the mall. I wanted to buy a giant banana costume at first, but it’s out of stock. It’s fine~I ‘ve got something even better, FAT LADY!
There is a fan pumping air in it to keep me fat!Ya!I’ve never try to be fat, it’s a funny experience to be fat!Skinny Oliver is getter fat in the halloween!
Yo!I also wear a dreadlock wig in the halloween. Many people wondered is it real hair when I wear it walking around in the shopping mall, and I just told them,”taste it, I’ven’t wash it for 2 months.” HA,I wanted to have a dreadlock long time ago, but I know it’s not a good idea to make a real dreadlock on me. So, the wig satisfied my dream, it’s OK now! It’s really suit me, isn’t it?
I wore the fat lady to servial parties, Japanese’s parties, American’s parties and South American’s parties in the weekend before Halloween, they are all good, I really enjoyed about its.
Also, I’ve acted as an actor as a virgin ghost to scare the others in the haunted house, I wore skirt…….ah……It is really creepy…..so……I’m quite successful to make people scream out loud……Funny experience,I seem to be tried every things that should be do in the halloween.
And in the halloween day, I’m late to join the costume contest in my dormitory. People around said I’ll win it if I did join it……Ah……But it’s OK, I went to a house party held by Mexican and I won the 2nd prize in their costume contest. Bobbing apple, Donuts game, kinda games people will play in the halloween.
I went to dance wearing the costume after the party~It’s really a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!I’m quite sure I like my costume and I want to bring it back to H.K!
OK……I would like to say the horror story,the pumpkin bites me,at last.
Once upon a time, there is a fool took the pumpkin of his friends. The pumpkin has been cursed, it is too hard to carve as a jack o’ lantern. But the fool ignored about that, and he used the famous knifes which is made in switzerland to cut the pumpkin. The fool succeed in carving the top of the pumpkin, after he cleared the stuffs like seeds inside the pumpkin, he tried to carve an eye on the pumpkin. While he is cutting it powerfully, he messed up which side is the spring of the knife and he cut his 5th finger on his right hand deeply……The wound seem to be nothing special in the first few second, but it keep bleeding and the fool use the cold water to wash it, the fool forgot to stop the blood flowing out by giving pressure to the wound. Lot of blood flow out from his finger and he feel a little bit dizzy. He go back to his room and his roommate is watching th NBA match. He called his roommate for help and his roommate and floormate drive him to the hospital at 1:00A.M. The fool and his dearest friends then wait for about 2 hours in the hospital and the doctor fixed his wound with suture within 5 mintures. The report of the doctor wrote down “Get hurt while carving the pumpkin.” What a idiot…….ya….it’s me. Thanks so much to my roommate and floormate for taking care of me while I’m hurt by my stupid act.
Actually, it is a touching story between me and my roommate rather then a horror story,maybe.
